The Lib Tech Orca Split promises massive fun on wide, wide slopes and in narrow, icy couloirs. Efficient on the ascent and incredibly agile on the descent, it’s a splitboard you’ll love straight away. Riding style This board is perfect for you if you’re an advanced rider always on the hunt for untouched powder slopes, deep carving turns and challenging climbs. Shape The tapered directional shape is perfect for all-mountain and freeriding. The nose is longer and wider than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain. The additional setback of the bindings gives the board a lot of uplift in powder. The Magne-Traction® technology provides improved edge hold with serrated edges. Especially on icy slopes they unfold their full potential. Profile The C2X profile comes with a short rocker between the bindings combined with a wide camber underneath the bindings. This combination offers a good edge hold thanks to the camber areas, as well as good lift and unlimited freestyle action without catching an edge thanks to the rocker. Flex The medium-stiff flex ensures precise control and fast board response. Construction The Split Construction SC comes with a light, thin tip and tail combined with a core of aspen and light paulownia wood. Bi- and triaxial fibreglass composite surrounds the wood core and provides the necessary stiffness and durability. The TNT base is solid, fast and virtually maintenance-free. This is made from two layers of special fluoro material and can also cope well with the odd day without wax. Birch internal sidewalls are placed along the sidewalls of your board for added control of the overall sandwich construction. Stable, more pop and more control. The UHMW sintered sidewalls are another innovation from Lib Tech. The double sintered construction allows for a waterproof, strong and resistant construction without toxic ABS. Last but not least, a topsheet made of organic beans forms the final layer and completes the construction.
