The Freequencer is based on the popular Milligram Split but is designed for a wider range of riders. Although it is more affordable than the Milligram, no sacrifices have been made: it is lightweight and suitable for all types of terrain and snow conditions to enjoy the backcountry far from the crowd. This splitboard comes complete with Amplid’s own developed split hardware. Riding style A splitboard for experienced touring and freeride adventurers. This board offers the necessary features for ascending untouched terrain. The shape and profile have been specially tuned for best downhill performance. Shape The tapered directional shape is perfect for backcountry and freeriding. The nose is wider than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain. The offset of the bindings in the direction of the tail (setback) makes the nose a little longer for even more uplift in powder. Profile The Directional Cruise Camber profile consists of a camber between the bindings and a large rocker area in the nose. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in the pow and gives it enormous uplift. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. Flex The medium-stiff flex ensures precise control and fast board response. Construction The Omni core is a reliable low-density poplar wood core that is lightweight, durable and flexible. The Impact Pads are laser-cut sheets of tempered glass that are inserted under the main laminate in the binding area. This prevents damage under the bindings. The extruded base is very resistant, user-friendly and offers good sliding properties even without waxing. Even scratches can be repaired relatively easily.
