Activities in Morzine

Morzine has plenty of activities on offer for those choosing not to ski or for families looking for an afternoon’s entertainment.

Unlike many modern ski resorts, Morzine has managed to retain much of its traditional market town charm. With its pretty wooden chalet style buildings, quaint local shops and convivial atmosphere, this is a great place to while away an afternoon with a book, a coffee and a spot of people watching!

For those who enjoy walking, Morzine has a number of fantastic walking paths in and around the village. Lake Montriond and Vallee de la Manche both provide excellent day excursions.

Family activities

Morzine has an excellent range of facilities suitable for families, including an ice rink, two cinemas (both screen English-speaking films several times a week) and horse-drawn sleigh rides in the winter wonderland of Avoriaz.

A few of the more unique activities include cheese making lessons and watching the local ice hockey team ‘The Morzine Penguins’.

To help parents to enjoy even more time on the slopes, we also run a complimentary Highlife Marmotte Club during school holiday weeks.

Après-ski in Morzine is lively, friendly and reasonably priced and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs that stay open until the early hours.
Your chalet team will have up to date information about all resort activities and is available to assist with making bookings.

“It is depressing being back. Great skiing and the kids loved it.”
